The neighborhood of Bluff Park in Long Beach is a small and very desirable area. If you were new to Long Beach you might pass through this iconic little neighborhood and think it is an extension of Downtown or Belmont Heights but it certainly has a charm all to its own offering wonderful condos and homes to offer those who reside here.
The Bluff Park neighborhood gets its name (likely no surprise) from the rather distinct park that makes up the southern border. The park of Bluff Park is 13.2 acres of area that offers commanding views of the Pacific Ocean from its elevation. Within this large area you will find a large amount of grass from which you will see people practicing Yoga or you might also catch people flying their RC airplanes and gliders from the cliff. The icon that anchors this park though is the bronze statue of the Long Beach Lone Sailor that gazes out over the ocean and was placed there on Oct 13, 2004 which was the 229th anniversary of the creation of the United States Navy.
As you start to explore this neighborhood you will find it is bounded by the following:
- Broadway to the North
- Junipero Ave to the West
- Loma Ave to the East
- Bluff Park and the Pacific Ocean
While this area isn’t a large neighborhood you will find a nice variety of condos. With the exception of the Galaxy Towers the condos here are generally located in smaller 3 story buildings with 30 units or less. A large portion of development was completed in the 1960’s which offers distinct architecture and floor plans that have truly stood the test of time. The lower number of buildings available means you will want to keep careful watch on what is possible and act quickly when a condo becomes available for sale.
